Wii Sports Resort is a sports game for the Wii video game console. It is a sequel to Wii Sports and was set for release in across 2009, it also added more sports, a new integration with the Check Mii Out Channel, and utilization of MotionPlus.

Overview[]

The game is part of an ongoing series of games sometimes referred to as the Wii series. Wii Sports Resort is the first title to be compatible with MotionPlus. The game comes bundled with the MotionPlus device and an extended Wii Remote Jacket which is referred to as the "Long Jacket". The long jacket is packaged with the Wii Motionplus accessory. Wii Sports Resort comes packaged with all new Wii consoles. The setting for Wii Sports Resort is set on Wuhu Island, a paradise island which also makes an appearance in Wii Fit.

  • Swordplay has been the most popular Wii sport since Wii Sports Resort was sold. Mostly because it includes fighting with plastic swords.
  • If you are bowling, there are two throwing styles: Manual, if you've played Wii Sports, and Automatic, if you're a new player.
  • Bowling and Golf are the only two sports from the first game to come back.
