The Wii Menu (sometimes called (Wii) System Menu) is the top level menu interface of the Wii console. It has 4 pages each with a 4×3 grid and each displaying the current time and date. Channels & WiiWares and Virtual Console games are displayed in a grid and navigated using the Wii Remote. The channels on the grid can be moved (except for the Disc Channel) in the 47 channel slots. By pressing the +/- or D-Pad buttons the pages can be switched.

SD Card Menu[]
The SD Card Menu is a side of Wii Menu for digital content stored on the SD Card, it uses the Wii system memory to boot up a game temporarily instead of the content being stored on it at all times. In the Wii Settings the SD Card Menu Data can be found, which repents the last game is played. The SD Card channel will immediately boot if it already has data for the channel.
About[]
Trivia[]
- The Wii Menu is not the operating system; it is just a launcher for titles with access to the Message Board and Options.
- The Disc Channel's banner and thumbnail is built-in to the Wii Menu
- There was once a plan for channel time limits, this would've been most likely used for game demos.
- In the Japanese Wii Settings, there is leftover options to have the Wii Remote be set to control the TV.
- During the Wii Menu's early days (1.x?) online channels (such as the News and Forecast) were stubs and had to be updated
