Virtual Console is the retro gaming division of the Wii Shop Channel, it offers a wide variety of games previously released on earlier generation consoles.

Virtual Console games are emulated games digitally stored on the Wii. With the use of Wii Points, you are able to download games found on the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Mega Drive, Master System, Neo Geo, and TurboGrafx-16. Additionally, some titles originally released only in Japan can be downloaded in other areas as "IMPORTs". These games had auto-save features and a need for the Classic Controller.
