Sonic and the Secret Rings is a game released exclusively for the Wii.

Modes of Gameplay[]

There are three different modes of gameplay in the game.

Adventure[]

This is the story mode in Sonic and the Secret Rings

Plot[]

The game begins with Sonic napping, when suddenly Sharha, a genie, pops out of the book Arabian Nights. According to Sharha, an entity known as the Erazor Djinn is absorbing the power of the book, and is causing pages to disappear. She tells Sonic that unless he, the legendary blue hedgehog, goes into the book and stops the Erazor Djinn, he will escape into the real world.

Upon arriving in the book, he encounters the Erazor, who casts a spell on Sonic. A flame appears on Sonic's chest, and unless he gathers the 7 Rings for the Erazor before the flame is gone, he will die...

Gameplay[]

Gameplay in Secret Rings is very simple: the player holds the Wii Remote horizontally, and uses it like a steering wheel to move Sonic. Sonic travels along a set path, and the player must steer him clear of obstacles and enemies. The player can also make Sonic jump by pressing the 2 button, and make him attack by thrusting the controller foward. Players also have the option of using unlocked powerups for Sonic by equipping a Power Ring.

Party[]

Party mode is for one to four players.

A series of minigames are offered that are similar to games such as Mario Party 8.

Special Book[]

Many bonuses are offered in the special book, ranging from concept art to movies.
