Metroid Prime Trilogy Is a compilation containing the console titles, Metroid Prime (2002/2003), Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (2004) and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (2007). The compilation was released exclusively for the Wii on the 24th August 2009 for North America, September 4 2009 for Europe and October 15 2009 for Australasia.

Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 were originally designed for the Nintendo GameCube, so for the Trilogy versions they were given Widescreen and given the same Controls featured in Metroid Prime 3 and a credits system that was also seen in that game, and just like that game it used WiiConnect24. Metroid Prime 3 made it onto the collection unchanged from its original release.

The Game came in a steel book case in North America and Standard Wii Game case with a cardboard sleeve in Europe. In this box you got the game itself and a small Booklet that provides some concept art for all 3 games and explains the plot for all 3 games as well

Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime Takes place 3 years after the events of the original Metroid. Samus Aran is summoned by the Galactic federation to investigate reports of Space pirates on Talon IV.

When Samus gets near the planet she intercepts a distress signal coming from a nearby space pirate ship the Orpheon, which is in orbit around Talon IV. Samus investigates the ship to find it in ruins, with rubble and dead space pirate bodies found everywhere throughout the ship. She quickly discovers the source of all the carnage was due to the parasite queen, a giant mutated creature that was created due to the space pirates experiments with Phazon. After defeating the creature, it falls into the ship's reactor causing the ship to overload and start a self destruct sequence. While escaping from the Orhpeon, Samus runs into the Space pirate commander Ridley who was gentically rebuilt following their fight on zebes. After she see Ridley she loses almost all of her powers following an explosion that knocks her into a wall. After this she tries to follow Ridley in her ship but their is an engine failure and she is forced to land on Talon IV.

While Exploring Talon IV Samus discovers the ruins of a chozo civilisation. Samus then discovers that there are items hidden on the planet known as Chozo Artefacts that are the key to finding out what is going on, on Talon IV. So her mission in the game is to retrieve her missing powers, find all of the Chozo Artefacts and kill Ridley.
