Assistant Channels, (also known as Shortcut Channels or Stub Channels) are pre-installed small channels which give information about a channel and a button to download it from the Wii Shop, downloading would replace the stub. These were usually for Nintendo's downloadable channels, but some streaming services have been included as well.
